Art of Soil — A Regenerative Experience

An Invitation to Slow Down
This is not a growing workshop — it is a gathering to step into the living world beneath our feet and begin with the earth itself.

Forest & Field Exploration
Together, we move through forest and meadow, gently opening the ground to observe soil horizons, witness how land regenerates, and learn how life returns layer by layer.

The Language of Living Soil
Discover how soil is formed, how ecosystems repair over time, and what it truly means to restore, create, and belong within a living landscape.

Hands in the Earth
With our own hands, we mix, layer, and build fertile soil — a grounding, creative practice rooted in ecology, art, and deep connection to place.

A Deeper Kind of Growth
This experience is quieter. More sensory. More reflective.
Less about what you grow — and more about what growth truly means.

What You’ll Carry Home
Not seed trays, but living soil.
Not just knowledge, but relationship.
A renewed understanding of the land that feeds all things.

I

Art of Soil experience is not a growing workshop — it is an invitation to slow down and step into the living world beneath our feet.

While our seed-starting workshop is about beginning plants, this gathering is about beginning with the earth itself.

Together, we move through forest and field to explore how soil is formed, how life returns to damaged land, and how regeneration unfolds over time. We open the ground, observe its layers, and learn the language of living soil. Then, with our own hands, we mix and build fertile earth — a creative, grounding practice rooted in ecology, art, and connection to place.

This experience is quieter. Deeper. More sensory and reflective.

Less about what you grow — and more about what growth truly means.

You’ll leave not with seed trays, but with living soil, new understanding, and a renewed relationship with the land that feeds all things.

Here, makers, farmers, and artisans come together to listen to the language of the land. We step into the forest and gently open the earth, revealing the slow work of centuries — horizons of soil, built layer by layer, life returning upon life. In this deep time, we begin to understand what it means to create, to restore, and to belong.

Then, with our own hands, we begin again.

We mix.

We layer.

What to Bring

The experience will run rain or shine, so dress for the weather and come prepared to be outside

About Your Host

Siobhan Kalverda

This farm is more than my work — it’s the life my husband and I are building as we raise our two little ones close to the land.

Managing the farm alongside gatherings, weddings, and markets is a full and beautiful rhythm. My fourteen-year-old self — who dreamed of flowers, art, and wide open fields — would hardly believe it.

With florist training in Scotland, a master’s in art, and a background in environmental science, my path has always woven creativity and ecology together. Years spent in horse farm management and floral design across Canada shaped the way I move through this work now — hands in the soil, eyes on the seasons.

Sustainability isn’t a trend here; it’s a practice. From growing to design, I work without floral foam and with deep respect for the land that sustains us.

Everything I create — whether living soil or floral work — begins with place, patience, and care.

Because each gathering is thoughtfully prepared in advance, tickets are non-refundable.

If you can’t attend, you’re welcome to pick up a prepared take-home kit from the farm one week after the event.

Please note that no-shows without notice are not eligible for a refund or kit.

Thank you for supporting small, intentionally crafted experiences.
